Gold Doctor Who Jewelry and miniatures? BBC commissions..

I just read that the BBC has commissioned Harlequin Goldsmiths to create a line of gold TARDIS and  Daleks, as well as some jewelry..

TARDIS manufactured in solid Sterling silver and plated with 9ct gold.
Dimensions: approximately 30mm x 18mm x 18mm.  Weight: approximately 36g.
If you have an extra 260 pounds lying around, this would be a great item to have!

Miniature solid Sterling silver statuary of the "ultimate" 2005 Time War Dalek.
Dimensions: approximately 33mm x 26mm x 18mm.  Weight: approximately 35g.

Definitely gorgeously geeky!!

Game of Thrones Ilyn Payne actor has pancreatic cancer..

As well as playing the mute executioner Ilyn Payne, Mr. Johnson was famous as the guitarist and songwriter for the 1970s Brit band Dr. Feelgood.

He has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and will not be receiving any treatment.

The Huffington Post says that "Pancreatic cancer is notoriously deadly, with 75 percent of people dying within a year of being diagnosed, MyHealthNewsDaily reported. And within five years, 94 percent of people with the disease will die." and also "For the most common kind of pancreatic cancer tumors, called exocrine tumors, the survival rate is 14 percent for the earliest stage (stage 1A) -- it goes down to 7 percent for stage 2A, and 1 percent for stage 4, according to the American Cancer Society."

More in their article here: Pancreatic Cancer,Why is 'Game Of Thrones' Actor Wilko Johnson's Condition So Deadly?

Other celebrities who have had pancreatic cancer include actor Patrick Swayze, founder and CEO of Apple Steve Jobs, and opera Singer Luciano Pavarotti.

We wish Mr. Johnson the best. Thank you for your contribution to the Game of Thrones world.
